|Hosting an international student is an incredibly rewarding experience. American families who open their homes and hearts to high school students from a different culture understand the benefits of hosting extend beyond their imagination.
Our students are enthusiastic about studying abroad in the USA and they are required to be proficient in English, as well as meet all requirements with our partner schools. Many of the students travel from diverse countries including Brazil, China, Turkey, Vietnam, Thailand, Norway, Italy and Germany.
Host Family Requirements. Our host families must fill out and complete an application, as well pass a criminal background check and interview process. Host families need to provide a safe and welcoming home for the student, in addition to a bedroom with a desk, dresser, and ample space for storage. Families should be located within an easy commute to our partner school, as well as prepare 3 well-balanced meals a day.
Quality Assurance. Educatius is a CSIET (Council on Standards for International Educational Travel) listed partner which stands behind a strict standard of excellence and maintains our quality assessment each year. Our nationwide network of International Coordinators collaborate with each family and student to ensure the program is a success. The orientation process prepares the host family as well as the student with regular check-ins by the coordinator to address any concerns.
24-Hour Hotline for Assistance. Our toll-free number provides immediate assistance for our students and families should they encounter any challenges that our experienced staff can resolve.
Monthly Stipend. Each region of the country receives a specified amount of money to offset living expenses.
