Colorado Springs School, founded in 1962, is a private, college preparatory day school enrolling international students from 9th through 11th grades. Students learn through traditional and experiential methods based in “real world” experiences inside and outside of the classroom. Small class sizes help students build strong and supportive relationships for personal and intellectual growth.
The historic 28-acre campus is located on a former estate built in 1907, at the foot of the Rocky Mountains. The main building, The Trianon (used for classrooms and administration) is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The school’s facilities include a 290-seat theater, a gallery, performing arts center, and gymnasium.
Sports and Arts
Some of the competitive athletic teams offered at Colorado Spring include soccer, basketball, volleyball, cross-country, tennis, lacrosse, and golf. For those with more creative interests, 3 plays/musicals are performed each year in the on-campus performing arts center along with many arts courses.
Colorado Springs is the second largest city in the state of Colorado and nominated 4th “fittest city in the US”. Home to the United States Olympics Training Center, Colorado Springs is a destination for year-round outdoor activities such as running, hiking, cycling and winter sports. Colorado Springs also possesses a dynamic cultural scene and many historic sites. The city is located about one hour and 30 minutes south of Denver.
