The Hyde School philosophy develops an unusually high degree of leadership and personal responsibility in its graduates. Hyde offers a wide range of courses, including Advanced Placement (AP), Honors, Academic Support, and Summer Sessions. Teachers help students reveal their best character and develop the confidence needed to succeed in high school, university and beyond. Hyde offers leadership opportunities to all students as well as a dynamic leadership track for eligible students. Facilities
The Hyde School campus in Woodstock, Connecticut, is on 120-acres and includes spacious classroom buildings, a student union with a dining hall, 200-room dormitory facilities, playing fields, a track and turf field, and a ropes course. The gymnasium includes weight and wrestling rooms and basketball courts. One of the unique features of the Woodstock campus is a state-of-the-art, 1,017 seat theater, also home to the Opera New England and Theater of Northeastern Connecticut.

Sports and Arts
Students at Hyde play three sports during the academic year—one per trimester, with plenty of opportunities including equestrian and wrestling. All students participate in the arts whether it be through the two Performing Arts shows or creating masterpieces in the Digital Arts Labs.

Dormitories and Student Life
Students live in all male or all female dorm sections with two or three students per room. There is a student life and activity center where students can play games and watch TV/movies. Each dorm has dorm parent(s) who are there for students whether they have questions or need help studying.
