The Marion County School District provides students an interesting mix of challenging academics and fine arts instruction. With the prestigious Biomedical Science Program,over 15 Advanced Placement classes and lots of extracurricular activities, every student can find the courses that meet their individual needs and desires.

FACILITIES
The facilities at both West Port and Forest High Schools include state-of-the-art classrooms, performing arts centers, gymnasiums, sports facilities, libraries and science labs.

SPORTS AND ARTS
Athletics are an integral part a student’s total education, so students are encouraged to participate in activities from weightlifting to flag football. Marion County Center for the Arts is a visual and performing fine arts magnet program that are welcome international students audition for. At Forest High School, the Marching Wildcats (band program) has received many superior ratings over the years.

AWARDS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Schools in the District have been awarded America’s Best High Schools from US News and World Report and America’s Most Rigorous High Schools by the Washington Post.
They were also named a semi-finalist in Grammy in the Schools five years in a row and designated an Educational Model school by the International Center for Leadership.
