The Marion County School District presents international high schools students with an interesting mix of academically challenging programs. From the unique Marion County Center for the Arts to their prestigious Biomedical Science Program, students will find the courses that fit their studying needs and desires. The district offers a strong selection of over 15 Advanced Placement classes, arts classes, and extra-curricular activities for students to choose from.

Facilities
The facilities at both West Port and Forest High Schools includes state of the art classrooms, performing arts center, gymnasiums, sports facilities, libraries, and science labs.

Sports and Arts
The athletic experience is considered an integral part of the total program at Marion County Schools, students can participate in anything from weightlifting to flag football. Marion County Center for the Arts (MCCA), is a visual and performing fine arts magnet program at West Port that international students can audition for. While at Forest High School, the Marching Wildcats (band program) have received many superior ratings over the years.

Awards and Accomplishments
The district has won America’s Best High Schools from US News and World Report, America’s Most Rigorous High Schools from Washington Post, Grammy in the Schools Semi-Finalist five years in a row, and become an Educational Model school from International Center for Leadership.

Community Information
Ocala is found about halfway between Gainesville to the north and Orlando to the southeast. Just east of town, is the Ocala National Forest, a preserve of Florida pines, cypress and hardwood trees with water and plenty of recreation.
