La Lumiere School

Private Boarding School – La Porte , Indiana

La Lumiere School is a traditional catholic private boarding school about an hour away from Chicago. The close-knit environment enables students to make lasting connections, engage in academics, participate socially, and define their path to college. Students are empowered to explore their interests inside and outside the classroom through programs such as the competitive Science Olympiad team and the opportunity for a Physics internship.

Facilities
La Lumiere’s campus is focused on enhancing the student daily life allowing them to take advantage of athletic facilities, open fields, computer lab and more.


Sports and Arts
Students are encouraged to develop an active lifestyle through joining various athletic teams and clubs. The performing arts and fine arts curriculum allows for the discovery of new creative talents and a more focused platform for the serious art student with opportunities to participate in coursework, theater productions, and a selection of music ensembles and activities.

Dormitories and Student Life
La Lumiere’s domestic and international boarding students live in one of six family oriented dorms of 16 to 18 students. In addition, a pair of faculty house parents oversee dorm activities and provide a supportive environment for their students. The majority of the dorm rooms are spacious doubles that face one of La Lumiere’s beautiful spring fed lakes.

La Lumiere is located an hour east of Chicago, one half hour from Notre Dame and five miles from the beaches of Lake Michigan. The city of La Porte and Michigan City are both ten minutes away from campus.
