Founded in 1792, Fryeburg Academy is a coeducational boarding and day school serving grades 9-12, located in the small town of Fryeburg, Maine. The school’s robust curriculum is supplemented with a wide range of arts courses, athletics and student clubs. Students attending Fryeburg live in a quiet, removed setting, ideal for studying and personal development. The English as a Second Language Department at Fryeburg Academy offers a variety of courses and English language training opportunities for international students. Dormitories and Student Residences
There are four dormitories, three boys residences and one girls residence, at Fryeburg Academy. Each room is wired for internet and phone. All dormitories at Fryeburg Academy have two live-in faculty dorm parents, a common room with a TV and computers, washers and dryers and high-speed wireless internet.
Fryeburg is a small town about one hour east of Portland. Life is simple and quiet and the people are very friendly and helpful. It is a good environment for studying. There are a few pizza parlors and grocery store for students to purchase food/items. Fryeburg Academy also offers a weekly trip into North Conway, New Hampshire to shop at larger stores for supplies.
