Arlington High School

Public School District – Boston , Massachusetts

Arlington High School is a large, coed public high school founded in 1915. Its top-notch curriculum of more than 15 Advanced Placement courses has a 67% participation rate. Professional athletes, Oscar-winning actress Olympia Dukakis and comedian Dane Cook are some of its famous graduates and each year it welcomes a select group of international exchange students to its campus.

Facilities
The campus centers around an original Colonial-style building named “Fusco House”. Other facilities include: an outdoor field (football, soccer, track, field hockey and lacrosse), as well as baseball and softball diamonds. For “techies” and creative-minded, there’s a media center where they may join a variety of extracurricular activities.

Sports and Arts
Sports are a passion at Arlington High School. Their hockey and lacrosse teams have been state champions for most of the 20th century, while the girl’s cross-country and soccer teams have come in first in regional and state competitions. Everyone is invited to take part in sporting events and clubs, including the performing arts.

Awards and Accomplishments
Arlington High School was awarded a Gold Medal by U.S. News and World Report as one of the top high schools in the USA, and is ranked 16th in the state and 419th in America.
