Ipswich High School, a part of Ipswich Public Schools, is a coeducational four year public high school with enrollment in grades 9-12. The school is proud of its rigorous academics and outstanding music, art, theater programs, as well its wide variety of extracurricular activities and clubs. All the teachers at Ipswich High School have advanced degrees and participate in regular professional development. Each year, the school welcomes a small and select group of International students to experience an authentic American high school life.
The campus encompasses state-of-the-art classrooms with a performing arts center, new Astroturf stadium, tennis courts, a community garden, a project adventure facility, and more.
Sports and Arts
Sailing, ice hockey, and gymnastics are all available to international students looking to get involved in Ipswich’s athletics program. The school offers unique art courses and clubs, including Jazz Improv, Bel Canto and video production, through its impressive arts program.

Ipswich High School was ranked among the top 50 high schools in the State of Massachusetts by Boston Magazine. In 2006, the school was named a Blue Ribbon School and received a Vanguard award for national excellence.
Ipswich is located on the northern coast of Massachusetts, only 28 miles from the city of Boston. Settled in 1633, the town is one of the oldest in North America. New England is famous for majestic beaches, marshes, historic colonial architecture, rural farms and fresh seafood (especially lobster and crab).
