Saint Joseph Preparatory High School is a private, Catholic, coeducational day school. Founded over a century ago, today the school offers a curriculum specializing in skills that blend technology with traditional subjects for a global perspective. This approach develops critical and analytical thinking skills students need to succeed in the 21st century. Saint Joseph Preparatory High School is currently in the process of developing innovative technology programs like the 1:1 iPad Initiative.
Since the schools modest beginning, the campus has grown to include large classrooms, auditorium, music rooms, science laboratories, gymnasium, cafeteria, computer classroom with Internet access, athletic fields and tennis courts.
Sports and Arts
Students can choose from a wide variety of extra-curricular programs to participate in, from soccer and basketball to fine arts and theater. The school produces two major shows each year, at least one of which is a musical, and where artists, musicians, and actors all come together.
The school is located in Brighton, a neighborhood on the Charles River in the northwest corner of the city of Boston. The town has recently been attracting a lot of new businesses as well as families, young professionals and graduates students who appreciate its tranquil yet dynamic atmosphere. Boston College and Boston University are located right at the edges of the neighborhood.
