Since its inception as an independent, coeducational, college preparatory school in 1955, Saint George’s School students have striven to be achievers with the highest SAT scores in the Spokane area and close to 300 points higher than the state average. Students consistently perform well at statewide Knowledge Bowl competitions, have great successin debate competitions and the chess and robotics team have won numerous awards.
Saint George’s campus is nestled in a beautiful 120-acre property overlooking the Little Spokane River. Facilities and resources consist of the Davenport House (the estate’s original
home), library, the Errol Schmidt Athletic Center, and two four-court gymnasiums.
SPORTS AND ARTS
The championship athletic program has a unique no-cut policy, which allows all students to participate in sports regardless of previous experience. Saint George’s community is committed to developing students’ artistic and creative abilities. Dances, plays, concerts, and exhibits are well attended by the majority of the student body.
