HIGHLIGHT INFO

Chino Valley Unified School District’s has four high schools that accept international students. The distinguished district has some of the best schools in California and offers unique academic programs such as STEM, engineering, veterinary studies, and agriculture. The district boasts test scores and graduation rates that exceed state and national averages as well as over 35 AP options. International students make up 2% of the student body.

FACILITIES
The district’s high school campuses have large-scale athletic facilities, including fields for football, baseball, and soccer; synthetic running tracks; gymnasiums; and aquatic centers. Campuses have an extensive network of computer labs. One high school offers agriculture students access to a working farm.

SPORTS AND ARTS
The district’s strong athletic reputation is upheld by their many graduates who have gone on to become professional basketball, football, soccer, and American football players. Students can also participate in sports such as golf and water polo. State regulations in California can cause some restrictions for international students playing Varsity-level sports at their school. Please contact us for details.
Schools in the district offer fine and performing arts such as drama, jazz band, and wind ensemble, as well as digital and media arts such as digital imaging, graphic design, video production, and fashion design.

AWARDS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS
The district is home to 19 California Distinguished Schools and a National Blue Ribbon School. Schools in the district have also received the California Distinguished School and California Gold Ribbon School awards.

COMMUNITY INFORMATION
The city of Chino, located 45 minutes east of Los Angeles, is home to Chino Community Theater and a lively downtown area with a weekly farmer’s market. With a sunny year round climate, Chino was selected as one of the 100 Best Communities for Youth and was ranked 34th in Money Magazine’s Best Places to Live 2012.
