Spanning 125 acres in sunny central Florida, Montverde Academy’s rich academics include subject area concentration diplomas, Dual Enrollment options with University of Florida and Lake Sumter State College, and over 30 AP courses. The school is nationally recognized for its elite athletic training programs.
FACILITIES
Montverde Academy’s expansive facilities include a professional fine arts center with a large auditorium, dressing rooms, music halls, and studios. It also features sports fields, courts, gymnasiums, and an equestrian center. In addition, students have access to a library with over 13,000 books, a professional level recording studio, and personal iPads. Recent additions to campus facilities include beach volleyball courts, the Center for Sportsmanship and Wellness, and a newly renovated science building.
SPORTS AND ARTS
Montverde Academy’s athletic training program is world-renowned, and has produced various professional athletes and won several national championships. The Montverde Academy Center for Basketball Development is led by Kevin Boyle, 4-time National Coach of the Year. Many alumni go on to play on professional sports teams. Montverde athletics have 14 total National Championship titles.
Montverde Academy’s art options include particularly strong music and theater programs as well as media, TV and radio broadcasting, journalism, photography, and more.
DORMITORIES AND STUDENT LIFE
Students live in on-campus dormitories with house parents and amenities such as televisions, gaming tables, and kitchenettes. Students can choose from 46 clubs and societies including yoga and the cultural diversity club. Boarding students participate in organized weekend activities, such as trips to theme parks and the beach.
