Orono High School (OHS) is rich in tradition and academic excellence. OHS offers a large selection of college preparatory classes including Advanced Placement courses and intensive English language courses combined to make Orono students very competitive for college acceptance. Graduating students from Orono High School can participate in the automatic conditional acceptance to University of Maine program.

Facilities
Orono High School and The University of Maine share facilities, including a state of the art new media center, fitness center, planetarium, a 3D printer, athletic fields, student union, science facilities, and almost every classroom has a projector and Smartboard.

Sports and Arts
Athletics are a huge part of life at Orono, between 80-90% of students participate in sports. In the past year, Orono teams have won nine state championships. The arts are very important at Orono High School. In 2014, OHS created a “MUSE” block. During MUSE, only art, music and drama classes are offered.

Nationally recognized high school by the US News and World Report; Top 5% of school districts in the US; Niche Public School grade “A”; Top 10 public school in Maine in 2015.
