Last minute spots announced at a Florida academically oriented boarding school with luxurious accommodations

Posted on September 21, 2011

Sometimes study visa rejections can occur, leaving students disappointed (for steps you can take in case your visa is rejected, click here).

But what can be disappointing for one student, can be an opportunity for another. At this time of year, many prestigious schools make a select few spots available again if any of their students are unable to attend as originally planned.

The Academy at the Lakes, a prestigious boarding school in a beautiful suburb of Tampa Florida, is one example that has just announced a select number of last minute spaces available for international students. With its academic focus and college counseling program, 100% of Academy at the Lakes’ graduates go on to college. Its alumni are attending many of the finest colleges and universities in the U.S. and Canada - including Yale, Harvard, Johns Hopkins, Columbia, Georgetown and many more. The Class of 2011 collectively has earned over $2.7 million in award offers!

Its campus life is rich and varied with many after school programs, arts and athletics. Athletic programs include golf, volleyball, swimming, soccer, track, baseball, basketball and more. The Academy is a member of the Florida High School Athletic Association and our teams compete for District, Regional, and State Championships. Furthermore, few schools are able to offer the high quality arts experiences that are available to every student at Academy at the Lakes. Throughout each year of school, performing and creating opportunities abound, whether it’s in the art studio, on the stage, or studying an instrument.

Academy at the Lake boarding students are housed in local, gated communities with luxury accommodations, including tennis courts and swimming pools and close proximity to the school. The houses are traditional American single-family homes featuring commons areas such as the living room and kitchen, bedrooms (approximately 2 kids to a room), and spacious bathrooms.

It’s not too late to fulfill your dream of an American high school this fall! For more information about this school, click here, or contact us to be directed to a local Educatius representative.
