With over 175 course offerings, numerous athletic, musical, dramatic, and extra-curricular opportunities, and a staff of dedicated professionals, we are eager to develop young people and provide direction for their lives during and after high school. Because of the changing needs of our students, our curriculum has constantly evolved to keep up with the social and technological demands of our world. Burlington High School’s students continue to score very well on the nation’s standardized tests and have consistently performed well in colleges and universities . As a North Central Association accredited school, BHS goes through yearly evaluations of staff, curriculum, and facilities for the purpose of delivering the highest quality instruction possible.

Burlington, formerly a bustling river port in the Mississippi steamboat era is today a mid-sized town with good infrastructure. One of its highlights is “Snake Alley”, the crookedest street in the world.
