Chicago Public Schools is currently the third largest school district in the United States, with more than 400,000 students enrolled. CPS strives to help students achieve their full potential and become productive members within their community. CPS believes that high school is an important time for a child to grow intellectually and personally. They strive for academic excellence while making school a fun environment to learn in. Every high school works to understand each child and create an environment where they will “flourish.”

Chicago is a city in the state of Illinois and the largest in the Midwest. With a population of nearly 3 million people located Chicago is the third largest city in the United States. Chicago has been classified as an alpha world city for its worldwide economic influence. Chicago was incorporated as a city in 1837. Its location at the site of a portage between the Great Lakes and the Mississippi River watershed aided the city's rapid growth. Today, Chicago is a leading global city and a major transportation hub, as well as the business, financial, educational and cultural capital of the Midwest.
Located on Lake Michigan, Chicago is a magnificent city offering great architecture, shopping, and museums, while also drawing attraction with its beaches, parks, and free Lincoln Park Zoo.
