Founded in 1986, Community Christian School offers students K-12 a Christian values based and college preparatory curriculum. The upper school consists of approximately 280 students who enjoy small classes where they can actively participate in group discussions as receive personal attention when they need help. The teachers are caring and are often available to the students outside the classroom, many of the acting as coaches and club mentors. Students can participate in a variety of Athletic programs and school pride is strong and evident through the school’s booster club, cheerleading, and band!
Since its founding the school has continuously expanded its footprint and is currently in the midst of building a 34,000 sq. feet expansion, 17 new classrooms, library, science lab, auditorium, computer lab, yearbook room, band room, and cafeteria. The school is primarily home to students coming from college-educated families with business and professional background and the school looks forward to welcoming international students to their community. College Acceptance 90%.
Academic
Community Christian offers a college preparatory curriculum which includes English, History, Math, Fine Arts, foreign language, Bible and Electives. History and English program focuses on an intensive study of the great writings, people, events, works, and ideas that have formed and reformed civilization as we know it. Normative works of America’s culture are studied within their historical settings. The courses are organized chronologically, moving from ancient civilizations to modern times. Emphasis is placed upon reading, writing, and speaking/listening skills. Students leave CCS as well rounded individuals who care about and ready to shape our community.

Community Christian School is located in Norman, OK only 20 miles south of Oklahoma City. It has a population of about 107,000 and is most famous for being home to University of Oklahoma. As a result of being a college town, the city has lots to offer residents and international students. The city has several cultural attractions such as art & natural history museums, galleries, theaters, and several festivals. Students can also enjoy shopping, restaurants, and several recreational centers including swimming complex, and athletic fields & courts. With all this, it is easy to understand that CNN/Money Magazine has previously voted Norman as the 6th best small city in the US.
