Culver-Stockton College

Canton, Missouri

Founded in 1853, Culver-Stockton College is located on the bluffs overlooking the great Mississippi River Valley. With 850 students, and an average class size of less than 20, each student is assured of becoming an active participant in their education.

Students have an opportunity to raise their hands in class and have their questions answered by a professor who will take an interest in each of their students’ experiences. The Common Core courses allow students to take courses that will broaden horizons, expand views and provide a strong basis for students’ experiential learning, which might include travel, internships or clinical rotations. The college’s curriculum is designed to help students expect more of themselves, explore the world around them and experience areas that interest them, through a 15 week semester that is divided into a 12-week term and a 3-week short term. Most students live on campus in residence halls and take advantage of a campus community that wants each student to become actively involved in their education, in and out of the classrooms.

Academic and Sport Facilities

Numerous classrooms and laboratories in 4 main academic buildings, 165,000 volume library, all buildings on campus are Wi-Fi.

All weather Track, Baseball field (natural grass), Football field (natural grass), numerous Basketball courts and Volleyball courts, Softball fields (natural grass); Golf course located 6 miles from campus, natural grass Soccer fields and practice areas.

Dormitories and School Residences

Each room is equipped with beds, desks, dressers, closet space, mirrors, window coverings, cable TV outlets, wireless internet, and free laundry facilities.

Academic Admission Requirements

Each student’s application file is reviewed individually, but it is imperative that students are proficient in English. TOEFL score of 61 ibt, 173 cbt, 500 pbt.

The Community

Culver-Stockton College is located in the northeast portion of the state of Missouri, in the town of Canton. Canton is a city with roughly 2,700 people located on the banks of the Mississippi River. The town and the college relationship is intertwined and amplifies each other’s strengths. Some of the town’s population commute to one of the larger cities within an easy 30-minute drive- Keokuk, Iowa, Quincy, Illinois and Hannibal, Missouri.
