Denver Christian School is a co-educational, college-preparatory school based on Christian values and serves just over 250 students serving the metro area of Denver. Located beautifully near the Rocky Mountains, DCHS offers an excellent academic environment with a teacher: student ratio of 1:15 and facilities that include a biology and chemistry lab, a cafeteria, a media center, a state-of-the-art computer lab, two gyms and access to track and sports field.
Many of DCHS students are very active outside the classroom participating in a variety of sports for such as baseball, basketball, cross country, football, golf, soccer, track, volleyball, and competitive dance. The school’s record includes several league and state championships: boys – basketball, football, & cross country& girls - cross country, soccer, & cheerleading.
Fine arts and student clubs are also an important part of Denver Christian School. Denver Christian offers many opportunities for students to excel in the arts such vocal and instrumental music classes with quarterly concerts, as well as art, drama, and creative writing course offerings. Each year the drama department produces two dramas. Additionally, each year the entire high school attends a performance at the Denver Center Theatre Company. Academic
The curriculum integrates educational excellence with Biblical perspective. Students are challenged by a comprehensive and traditional curriculum including several honors courses. AP tests are offered in selected courses as well. Denver Christian has established a long-held reputation for academic excellence which translates into top achievement on standardized tests including the ACT and SAT. 94% of high school graduates successfully go on to college.
