DePaul Catholic High School is a renowned private school located in northern New Jersey, just outside of New York City. It provides a welcoming community and safe and nurturing environment for students and staff. The school is relatively large with just under 900 students and school pride is evident both in the classroom and on the athletic fields. The school has 23 varsity sports teams and over 30 extracurricular activities so students have a large variety of after school activities to choose from. Students from over 5 countries and 60 districts in the tri-state area attend DePaul.

Academics

Each academic department reinforces writing, reading, and speaking across the curriculum. The expectation is that DePaul Catholic students will grow to express themselves clearly, concisely, and correctly in all disciplines. Students are graded quarterly and must take semester and final examinations in all academic areas. Mid-quarter progress reports and quarterly parent-teacher conferences ensure that students experiencing academic difficulty are identified and helped. Teachers are readily available for extra help, and peer tutoring through the National Honor Society is also an option.

The program of studies offered at DePaul Catholic High School seeks to equip college-bound students with a foundation for the pursuit of academic excellence while emphasizing a curriculum tailored for individual differences. In addition to acquiring basic skills, virtues, and habits necessary for success in higher education, students learn to apply their knowledge and training toward their on-going development of the Whole Person.

Location

The school is located less than 20 miles west of Manhattan in Wayne, New Jersey. The township has a population of approximately 55,000 and rated one of the best cities to live in according to CNN Money magazine. Students can enjoy recreational parks, shopping centers, modern public library, and museums within short distance. Students can also easily take a bus directly into midtown Manhattan and explore the most exciting city in the world!
