Community Profile

Hopkinton is a suburb of Boston, located only 26 miles away and best known as the start point of the famous Boston Marathon. It has evolved as a community built for families where spacious homes, schools, and places to play form a dominant impression of Hopkinton, as do its open spaces, lakes, and scenic vistas. Its location has caused the town to experience significant residential growth to its current population of 14,000 residents. The large number of historic homes has preserved the quaintness and charm that this village has to offer. Hopkinton has a well defined town center that contains a town common, school, churches, town hall, library, places of business, and numerous places of historic significance.

Boston is one of America's oldest cities, with a rich economic and social history. What began as a homesteading community eventually evolved into a center for social and political change.
