Horizons School, founded in 1978, is a special environment for students and staff who prefer the benefits of a small school. Horizons School is located in Atlanta, Georgia, a city of 3.5 million. Atlanta is the transportation, business, and cultural center of the Southeastern U.S., and is known as the home of Coca Cola, Delta Airlines, 1996 Olympics, Martin Luther King and President Jimmy Carter.
The Horizons experience provides opportunities to practice responsibility, facilitates leadership development, and supports active contributions to the community. The high school academic program offers a college preparatory curriculum with honors, Advanced Placement, and traditional required classes. Students enter the program at any time of the year, but usually at August and January. The Horizons strives to provide a well-rounded experience featuring school trips, diverse student body, work study, internships, independent study, community volunteer service and dramatic production.

Classroom buildings, Theatre, Library, Atrium, Science labs, Art studios, Atrium, Greenhouses, Gym, Fitness Center. The school is located in a city center environment. There are several libraries, museums and business centers within walking distance from the school.

Double rooms, cable TV, Internet connection, telephone connections, phones in the hall, cell phones and computers are allowed, dorm parents in the different residential facilities.
