Located in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, on a 60-acre tree-covered campus, Iowa Wesleyan College has 162 years of success as an institution of higher education. Founded in 1842, Iowa Wesleyan is the oldest, private, coeducational liberal arts college west of the Mississippi River.

Dormitories and School Residences

For each resident, each residence hall room contains a twin size bed, 4 drawer dresser, desk, chair, and a built-in closet. There is a campus/local phone line and cable TV hookup in every room. High speed internet connection is also provided in each room. Each floor has a student lounge with tables and chairs to study or relax. Each residence hall has a main lobby equipped with tables, chairs and a piano.

Academic Admission Requirements

Application, high school or college transcript, TEOFL score of 500 or higher.

The Community

Mount Pleasant is a town of approximately 8500 people located in southeast Iowa. The town is situated in the midst of some of the best agricultural soils in the world. Due in part to the agricultural influence, Mount Pleasant retains its small-town charm while the highways facilitate travel to larger cities.
