At Newman, we will challenge you to grow, both intellectually and personally. We care what sort of person you will become, and we passionately believe that you have a contribution to make. We are certain that, for you to make that contribution, you need to learn to challenge yourself, to lead others, and to learn from others. We are a college-preparatory school, and a broad selection of course work at the Advanced Placement level helps students to demonstrate their capability for success in colleges and universities.

Academics

The Newman School is proud to offer students a traditional, liberal arts education in preparation for the academic demands of college. The curriculum includes a broad selection of course work including Advanced Placement classes. Newman School also offers the International Baccalaureate Program. The IB Program is recently new at Newman and is available to 11th and 12th graders.

99% of Newman graduates continue on to university and current alumni are enrolled at such schools as Harvard, Tufts, Cornell, Boston University, Worcester Polytech, Brandeis, Holy Cross, Boston College, Connecticut College, University of Michigan, Purdue, and the University of Southern California.

Located in the downtown Boston, students are in America’s “educational capital” (home to Harvard University, MIT, and several other universities) and are within walking distance to all the Boston as to offer. Students enjoy getting a coffee and shopping on Newbury Street or many famous museums such as JFK Museum. No matter their interests, international students will have plenty to keep them busy!
