The campus is located in Lake Placid, New York, in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains. Northwood is dedicated to sound scholarship in a diverse environment. It endeavors to stimulate intellectual curiosity in its students and encourages them to learn for themselves through the guidance of its faculty and the examples set by all in the Northwood community.

Academic and Sports Facilities at Campus
Three-Story Main Building, Science Building, Art Center/Girl’s dorm, Ski Building, Hockey sheds. Three soccer fields, two indoor and two outdoor tennis courts, State of the art fitness center which includes a climbing wall. Whiteface Mountain is 11 miles from school, Olympic ice arena – 1 mile from school. Crew team rows on Mirror Lake, less than ¼ mile from school.
Dormitories and School Residences
Boys dorm in the main building (3 floors), separate girl’s dorm, most students have their own cell phones. Television only available in the Student Center and the girl’s dorm. No cable in individual rooms.
