School Profile
Scottsdale Unified School District has special programs for gifted students, an International Baccalaureate program and offerings, such as band and strings for children as young as the fourth grade, that aren’t available in most other districts. SUSD is Arizona’s Most Excelling School District, with 19 schools earning the State’s highest rating, "Excelling."
All SUSD schools are rated as Performing, Performing Plus, Highly Performing or Excelling by the Arizona Department of Education. SUSD has 31 schools (6 high schools) serving about 26,000 students. More than 3,000 persons are employed by the district, including about 1,700 teachers.
