The mission of St. Stanislaus is to teach Gospel values and to nurture the total development of each student according to the charism of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart. The School fosters character formation and integrates faith development within a curriculum that is primarily college preparatory. As an integral part of its mission, St. Stanislaus maintains a resident program that offers students opportunities for educational success and personal growth with a disciplined and structured environment.
St. Stanislaus, founded in 1854, is an independent Catholic School located on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Operated by the Brothers of the Sacred heard, the school specializes in building character and helping young men in grades 6-12 develop their full potential and become happy, self-confident, well-educated adults.
St. Stanislaus is of the largest Catholic resident high schools for boys in the United States. Over the years, students from nearly fifty countries and all fifty U.S. states have profited from the rich education and character building offered by St. Stanislaus. This diversity promotes a heightened awareness of each student’s value and provides opportunities for appreciation of other cultures and for lasting friendships with students from other countries.
The residency curriculum is designed to nurture the development of sound study habits, self-discipline, and a Christian appreciation of others.
Academic and Sport Facilities
Academic: Main School building and Music Hall
Sports: Fitness Center, Brother Peter Gymnasium, fields for football, soccer, baseball and track, swimming pool, tennis courts.
Dormitories and School Residences
Aurelian Hall – students are divided into wings depending upon age & grade. Students are permitted to have TVs, games, fishing pools, telephones can be used during specific times.
