Fun Events - May Blog
Lately the weather here in Washington has been so nice! Its super hot, and everyone is just so happy! That means that we have been outside having a lot of fun. I’ve been at prom, picnic in parks, bonfires and festivals. And I wanted to write a little bit about that, so you guys can see how much fun it is here in the United States.
Two weekends ago my school had prom, and It was awesome! All of my friends got ready at my friends house, and we listened to music, ate pizza and got ready for the evening. When we went to take pictures at the park my new shoe broke, so we had to run into the mall to get a new pair all dressed up in our prom dresses. But it was fun with all the compliments we got.
We made it to prom a little late, but we met all the seniors from school there, I made so many new friends there and we all danced and had a blast! We took so many pictures too.
After prom, my whole group of friends went back to my other friends house where her dad made us pasta and we watched movies till 4 in the morning and just talked about everything. It was such a nice and memorable night.
Almost everyday after school, like 20-40 seniors goes to this park near our school, we´re we all bring food, fruit and soda and we just talk and listen to music, we do this because its sooo hot outside and way too nice not to spend the time outside with nice people.
Last Saturday, my local coordinator arranged a trip to this Norwegian festival called Viking fest. I think it was so cool and so good to see my Norwegian culture here in the United States! since the Norwegian independence day was may 17th, they had a big parade with all this Norwegian stuff. So it was pretty cool to be a full blood Norwegian at this festival!
I have about 2 weeks left of school before graduation, and I'm planning to enjoy every last and single part of it, since its the last time I will attend an American high school. Even though I know the last weeks are gonna be all finals, i’m still going to make the best out of it!
And with that I only have about 1 month left of my exchange year, and I don't want it to end at all, I still have so much stuff I want to do, but I don’t have time to do it. And I just wish I could start the year over again, because this is the best thing I’ve ever done!
Future exchange students, do not hesitate, just do it!
