My first impression of my host family is that they are very friendly and easy going. They took me in like one of their own family members right away. My host family consists of my host parents, their three children, and many friendly fury pets and farm animals. And yes! My host family has mini barn in their backyard. This was something I had never imagined coming to live in the USA. But nonetheless, It was very cool. My host family has small horses (pony), big horses, rabbits, and even chickens in their backyard. Every morning they would get fresh chicken eggs from their backyard to make breakfast. This was really astounding and I never thought that I would get to experience something like studying abroad in the USA.
I became immediately close with my host family, especially with youngest daughter, as we shared similar interests. We both like to play games, dance, and eating. There was never a dull moment when we were hanging out. I feel extremely lucky and thankful for my host family. I get to experience things that I thought I would never get to experience. I am really looking forward to learning and spending more time with my host family.
