Quality Control Assistant

Position Located in Boston, MA

Position Purpose
The Quality Control Assistant makes sure that we put our students in the best possible host families and that they are supported by great international coordinators. This position reports to the V.P of Operations and is based in Boston, MA. This is an entry-level position.

Essential Functions

  • Review and approve host family applications
  • Review and approve host family placements for students
  • Manage yearly CSIET compliance audit document gathering and processing
  • Support in maintaining compliance with ISO 9001 quality standard
  • Process criminal background checks for all host families and Local Coordinators
  • Review and approve Local Coordinator applications
  • Set up and manage online training and material for in-person training
  • Assist with Insurance purchasing for U.S.A and Canada students
  • Assists with other administrative tasks as needed

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support other divisions as needed

Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions

  • All prospective employees must pass a background check
  • Most work tasks are performed indoors
  • Temperature is moderate and controlled by building environmental systems
  • Must be able to sit/stand for up to 8 hours per day
  • Ability to work on the weekends during peak seasons


  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree
  • Must have international experience from work or studies
  • At least 1-3 years of overall professional experience, preferably in international education
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, analytical, written and oral communication skills
  • Significant skills in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
  • Personal qualities of maturity, integrity and credibility
  • Ability to be a self-starter, able to multitask, and pick things up quickly / quick learner, attention to detail
