Established in 1992, St. Johns Academy - Vancouver is located in downtown Vancouver and offers a unique educational experience for students around the world. In addition to an ELL Immersion Program, St. John's Academy - Vancouver offers a rigorous STEM program and courses in Music, Fine Arts, Design, Humanities, and Language Arts. St. Johns Academy - Vancouver also offers special opportunities for students such as a Mentor-ship Program, a Forensics Program, and a University Exploration Program. Students also have a variety of extracurricular activities and clubs to choose from such as Student Council, Math Club, or Karaoke Club.
St. Johns Academy - Vancouver has a downtown campus in Vancouver with modern facilities and state-of-the-art technology. The school is currently renovating new facilities to support students success. Currently in development are updated art studios for visual arts, music, and drama.
SPORTS AND ARTS
St. John's Academy - Vancouver competes in the Greater Vancouver Independent Schools Athletic Association. Popular sports are Basketball and Soccer, but students can choose to compete in others through the Greater Vancouver Independent Schools Athletic Association.
Students can choose to take arts courses such as Media Arts, Drama, Contemporary Music, and more. The arts program at St. John's Academy - Vancouver prepares students for art competitions and events.

DISTRICT PROFILE The Burnaby School District is a leading Public School District located in the center of Greater Vancouver, only 25 minutes from downtown Vancouver, the Pacific Ocean, and the North Shore Mountains. In addition to four foreign languages options and ESL, students choose from a wide variety of courses including Honors courses, Advanced Placement courses, French Immersion, and many elective courses. Alberni District Secondary School
SCHOOL PROFILE AND ACADEMICS Located on the territories of the Nuu-chah-nulth First Nation along the central west coast of Vancouver Island, School District 70’s Alberni District Secondary School (ADSS) offers students a beautiful living environment with challenging academics. ADSS offers a Canada Hockey Skills Academy, an early French Immersion program, a leadership program, a forestry program, and dual credit courses in partnership with Vancouver Island University and North Island College. FACILITIES In 2012, ADSS opened a new state-of-the-art facility that offers media labs and modern classrooms with a university feel. The school has a ten-acre campus that features a 500- seat theatre, an artificial turf field, two gymnasiums, a fitness room, and a dance studio. SPORTS AND ARTS The district offers the Canada Hockey Skills Academy that has produced many Canadian “Junior A” athletes.
