School Description

St. Bernard School is located on 800 acres on the grounds of St. Bernard Abbey in Cullman, Alabama. St. Bernard offers courses at the Honors, Pre-AP, and AP levels along with dual enrollment college credit courses through Wallace State Community College.

Facilities include Running Trails (13 Miles), Soccer Field, Baseball Field, Tennis Courts, Fazi-Richard Athletic Center, and Abbey Byre Theater. Students also have access to the school chapel and Abbey Church throughout the day.

St. Bernard offers 11 AHSAA sponsored sports including cross country, track, volleyball, basketball, tennis, baseball, soccer, and swimming. There is also a non-competitive cheerleading squad.
Their fine arts courses include Choir, Art, Theater, Music Composition and Jazz Combo, supplemented by clubs like Theater and Improvisational Theater.

St. Bernard is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. They are a
member of The Association of Boarding Schools, the Southern Association of Independent Schools, and the Secondary School of Admission Test Board.

Located 45 miles north of Birmingham, Cullman offers international students a small-town American atmosphere with a selection of attractions such as shopping, dining, a water park, music events and more.
