Sierra Vista - Buena High School
School DescriptionBuena High School features a comprehensive core curriculum with Career/Technical Education (CTE) programs, dual enrollment at a local community college, Junior ROTC, and resource programs to ensure student success.
Facilities at Buena include a professional level Performing Arts Center with over 1,300 seats and a new Alternative Learning Center designed to create a college library environment with its own faculty, classrooms, computers, labs, and meeting spaces.

Buena was named one of the top five performing arts public high schools in the country by the Educational Theater Association. Aside from theater programs, students can participate in arts such as band and production studio.
AWARDS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS
The University of Arizona awarded Buena High School with its Arizona Cup for Academic Excellence. It was also named a Gold Medal School by the US News and World Report.
Sierra Vista, just over an hour’s drive from Tucson, offers many activities such as hiking, shopping, and community events.

It is impossible to believe March is coming to an end. With that being said, just a small reminder that Graduation is less than two months away and not to mention Prom is next month!!! Time truly flies when you are having a good time and when you are far away from home.
It's a great challenge for international students to leave their home and comfort zone. But living with an American host family will leave you with a lot of good memories. Today let me share with you my tips from living with host families for three years in American high schools!

Founded in 2011, Mission Heights Preparatory High School has formed partnerships with local colleges to offer concurrent enrollment courses, enabling students to earn college credits while still attending high school.
