Ojai Valley School’s experiential learning program allows students to utilize the world as their classroom. Students participate in week-long trips and outdoor activities such as camping, rock climbing, ropes courses, mountain biking, and kayaking. Students have the opportunity to learn from accomplished faculty such as former LA Times journalist and Ojai alum Fred Alvarez.
The Ojai campus has facilities such as a center for performing arts, art studios, a science and technology center, stadiums, swimming pools, an equestrian stable, a climbing wall, an outdoor amphitheater, and ropes courses. OVS recently opened a new robotics laboratory, woodshop, and Makerspace.
SPORTS AND ARTS
Ojai Valley School’s year-round equestrian program allows students the opportunity to work with experienced instructors such as OVS alumna and 2012 Olympic equestrian Tiana Coudray.
OVS offers 12 different fine arts and media courses such as videography, foundations of voice, and three AP art options. Outside of class, students can participate in activities such as garage band and journalism.
DORMITORIES AND STUDENT LIFE
Ojai Valley School’s 80 boarding students live in four dormitories spread across its 95-acre campus in the Southern California foothills. They are supervised by dorm parents and participate in activities such as themed dress days and the Festival of Talent.

The Phelps School
SCHOOL PROFILE The Phelps School, located in Malvern, Pennsylvania, is a private, nonsectarian boarding and day school for boys in grades six through 12 and a postgraduate year. Founded in 1946, The Phelps School is committed to providing a highly customized educational experience that empowers each student. The school serves a diverse population of approximately 110 students annually, of which 25 percent are international students. FACILITIES The campus is conveniently laid out with classrooms, dormitories and the dining hall all just a short walk from each other. There are many facilities for sports, including soccer and lacrosse fields, four all-weather tennis courts, a track, a basketball court, a fitness room, wrestling room, weight room, volleyball courts, and a roller hockey rink. SPORTS AND ARTS The athletic program gives every student a chance to participate on a sports team –developing physical fitness as well as team and leadership skills. The arts program has unique opportunities including, culinary arts, film appreciation and web design. DORMITORIES AND STUDENT LIFE Boarding students at Phelps enjoy a relaxed and comfortable residential life in one of seven dormitories located on campus. Members of the staff and faculty serve as live-in house parents, with older students assisting as proctors. Students’ schedules are structured throughout the evening with assigned study periods monitored by teachers.
The MacDuffie School
SCHOOL PROFILE The MacDuffie School offers students unique academic programs such as their Leadership Program, developed by a professor from the Cornell University Graduate School of Management. MacDuffie's science department has partnerships with UMass Amherst's Polymer Science Lab and the Harvard University Science Department. The school also has guaranteed admission agreements with Wentworth Institute of Technology and Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. FACILITIES The MacDuffie School's new 50-acre campus features state of the art technology in each building. A new artificial turf field and baseball field were added this past year. The school is also in the process of building a new Creativity Center. SPORTS AND ARTS The MacDuffie School has a longstanding reputation as a fierce intercollegiate athletic competitor. The school has recently won championships in soccer, basketball, volleyball, badminton, and cross country. The girls soccer team reached a record 45-game win streak and has won three of the last four New England Championships. The MacDuffie School has a very strong arts program, students have several academic opportunities including drama, in which students write and perform their own original one-act plays each spring. DORMITORIES AND STUDENT LIFE Boarding students take advantage of the school's New England campus each weekend with activities such as apple picking, skiing, and trips to Boston and local colleges and universities. Students can participate in extracurricular activities such as the new eSports team or the Math Team, which is ranked #13 in the country.
