"Enjoy every moment like it is your last.” That phrase was my motto I lived by this past year.
It is impossible to believe March is coming to an end. With that being said, just a small reminder that Graduation is less than two months away and not to mention Prom is next month!!! Time truly flies when you are having a good time and when you are far away from home.
El Camino Real Charter High School offers over 20 AP courses along with dual enrollment and honors options. It also offers a variety of academic opportunities such as the Careers in Entertainment Academy, the Fashion and Design Academy, the Junior Engineering Technical Society (STEM), and the award-winning Academic Decathlon team. Notable alumni of the school include actresses Tiffany Haddish and America Ferrera. FACILITIES El Camino Real Charter High School’s modern facilities include a performing arts theater, a library, computer labs, a gymnasium, tennis courts, and new sports fields. SPORTS AND ARTS The school has one of the most outstanding athletic programs in the area with almost all of the fall sports teams making the playoffs in 2015. Alameda Unified School District offers its diverse student body a rigorous curriculum with 12 Advanced Placement courses in a variety of subjects. Some of the district’s notable alumni include rock legend Jim Morrison of The Doors, the MLB’s 2003 National League Rookie of the Year and World Series Champion Dontrelle Willis of the Detroit Tigers, and many other professional athletes. FACILITIES Alameda Unified School District offers many outstanding facilities such as a swimming pool, auditoriums, sports fields, and media centers. SPORTS AND ARTS Alameda has a very competitive athletic program with many graduates going on to play professional baseball. Students have had the opportunity to compete in 8 conference titles as well as take home many 2nd and 3rd place titles. With over 168,000 students, Los Angeles Unified School District is the 2nd largest in the country. Four of their public high schools accept international students. The district’s outstanding academics have earned it a California Gold Ribbon Award. Schools in the district offer a combined 14 foreign languages and over 40 AP courses as well as honors options. FACILITIES Los Angeles Unified School District’s recent improvements to their campus facilities include new or upgraded sports complexes, outdoor communal areas and quads, and state-of-the-art learning and performing arts centers. SPORTS AND ARTS The district’s championships teams compete in a variety of sports including golf, soccer, American football, and water polo. The All District High School Honor Band is world renowned, drawing the finest musicians from its individual high school band programs.
