Torrance Unified School District offers students an authentic American high school experience as the oldest high school in the state of California. The district was listed as a 2017 California Honor Roll School District.
The 9-acre campus features over 100 classrooms, 2 gyms, 5 computer labs, and many athletic fields. The school’s 100th anniversary in 2017 was marked by extensive upgrades and renovations. The school is listed on the US National Register of Historic Places.
SPORTS AND ARTS
Torrance Unified sports teams have earned numerous titles in baseball, football, golf, softball, tennis, and volleyball. Several professional athletes have graduated from the school, particularly MLB players.
In addition to various arts courses such as drumline and photography, students can participate in over 50 clubs and extracurricular activities such as fashion and ukulele.

Bishop O'Dowd High School
SCHOOL PROFILE Bishop O’Dowd High School is a private Catholic high school, that has been preparing young men and women for the future since 1951. Technology is fully integrated on campus with easy access to internet and laptops in all classrooms. SPORTS AND ARTS Bishop O’Dowd earned the most points of all schools in the league they compete with in the fall, winter and spring sports seasons in the 2015/16 school year. Students are also encouraged to pursue their passion of art in courses, such as symphonic band and interactive design. DISTRICT PROFILE Alameda Unified School District offers its diverse student body a rigorous curriculum with 12 Advanced Placement courses in a variety of subjects.
