Bishop Verot High School
School DescriptionLocated on the west coast of Florida, Bishop Verot High School is ranked one of the top 50 catholic schools in the USA. Offers courses in college prep, honors, Advanced Placement (AP) and dual enrollment through Edison Community College and Florida Gulf Coast University. Big emphasis is put on technology - every student is given an iPad to work on homework and projects.
Bishop Verot High School campus offers a variety of sport and art facilities. The school built its own performing arts venue, science labs and athletic facilities.
SPORTS AND ARTS
Bishop Verot Athletics has 35 teams with over 70% of the student body participating in the athletic programs. Bishop Verot High School is a perennial Florida High School Athletic Association “All Academic Team Champion” in almost every sport.
Bishop Verot choir and band have participated in competitions and performances around the state, such as Festival Disney in Orlando, the St. Andrew Festival, and the AFCAAM Christmas recital, in addition to hosting a combined concert every semester in Bishop Verot's Anderson Theater.
Fort Myers is known for its islands, white-sand beaches, bird life and recreational opportunities. International students can take advantage of many sports opportunities in the community such as basketball, tennis, gymnastics, soccer, and many more!
