It's a great challenge for international students to leave their home and comfort zone. But living with an American host family will leave you with a lot of good memories. Today let me share with you my tips from living with host families for three years in American high schools!

What is the most important factor for international students when selecting a US high school to apply to?
Food is important when studying abroad. Today, I will give you an introduction to American foods you need to try while abroad.
Schools in Higley Unified School District offer a rigorous curriculum that includes music, art, language, physical education, and technology. Higley schools provide a wide range of AP courses, honors courses, STEM courses, and engineering courses. The school district is partnered with three universities in the state of Arizona. FACILITIES All of the district’s campuses have numerous sports fields, theaters, and science labs. Some include broadcast studios and engineering labs for their accelerated programs. SPORTS AND ARTS International students from grades 9 to 11 are invited to take part in award-winning junior varsity-level sports teams such as baseball and cheerleading. State regulations allow international students in grades 9-11 to participate in any Junior Varsity (JV) sports teams. Melbourne Central Catholic High School in Melbourne, Florida is committed to a comprehensive curriculum with over 100 courses in 10 academic areas including 18 AP courses. The school has four societies, areas of study, that students can apply to – Visual and Performing Arts, STEM, Medical Science and Law & Global Business. FACILITIES Melbourne Central Catholic High School campus includes classrooms, athletic fields, a field house, a gymnasium, a chapel, and a media/technology center. The Dream Lab Tech Center includes a distance learning room, broadcast room, coding room, virtual reality room, maker room and cyber security room. Located on the west coast of Florida, Bishop Verot High School is ranked one of the top 50 catholic schools in the USA. Courses at Bishop are offered to high school students at three levels: college preparatory, honors, and Advanced Placement (AP). Big emphasis is put on technology - every student is given an iPad to work on homework and projects. FACILITIES Bishop Verot High School campus offers a variety of sport and art facilities. The school built its own performing arts venue, science labs and athletic facilities. SPORTS AND ARTS Bishop Verot Athletics has 35 teams with over 80% of the student body participating in the athletic programs. Bishop Verot High School is a perennial Florida High School Athletic Association “All Academic Team Champion” in almost every sport. Athletics only available to international students who attend Bishop Verot for an academic year. Bishop Verot choir and band have participated in competitions and performances around the state, such as Festival Dis
