School Description

Henry County School District’s nine schools focus on technology, community, creativity, and students’ individual talents. Students will get an authentic American experience near cultural Atlanta, Georgia, a hub of the music industry. The school offers over 20 AP courses including 3D studio art and German.

The district’s central Georgia campuses feature state-of-the-art facilities including sports fields, high-tech classrooms, art studios, and music rooms.

Henry County’s high schools have won several district and state titles in sports including basketball, football, track and field, and wrestling.
Students at the schools can take art courses such as theater arts, dance, and painting as well as participate in various extracurriculars such as creative writing, drama, and music honor society. One high school in the district has a nationally acclaimed band that won the Silver Grand Champion Award.

Henry County is very close to Atlanta, Georgia. The city of Atlanta is known for its culture and musical opportunities as well as the largest aquarium in the country, shopping, amusement parks, and professional sports. The community of Henry County offers a variety of recreational and cultural activities such as Frisbee, golf, paintball, parks, peach orchards, and skating rinks.
