School Description

Beckman Catholic High School offers a challenging curriculum including Post-Secondary Options, where students can take college courses through partnerships and via internet, an Honors Program which encompasses 24% of the student body, and Advanced Placement courses. The school also offers innovative Project Lead the Way courses provide learning and mentoring opportunities in Engineering and STEM fields.

At Beckman Catholic, all classrooms have wireless networks and each student has a chrome laptop. The facilities include two computer rooms, an iPad laboratory, the new multi-usage hall built in 2016-17, and a football/soccer/track stadium.

All international students are welcome to participate in any sport offered from freshman to varsity levels. The arts department also encourages students to take part in a class or extracurricular program.

Beckman Catholic was honored as one of the 2010-2012 top 50 Catholic High Schools in America by the National Catholic High School Honor Roll. In 2012, Beckman Catholic earned a ranking in the top 50 schools in the Iowa Advanced Placement index.

Dyersville is a progressive community in eastern Iowa, located one hour northeast of Cedar Rapids. With 100 acres of parks, including a skateboard park, baseball, softball and soccer fields, basketball and tennis courts, sand volleyball courts, an aquatics center and a variety of recreational programs. The city has plenty to keep international students entertained.
