It's a great challenge for international students to leave their home and comfort zone. But living with an American host family will leave you with a lot of good memories. Today let me share with you my tips from living with host families for three years in American high schools!

One of the top Catholic high schools in the United States, West Catholic High School has been named one of the most challenging private schools in the United States by the Washington Post. FACILITIES West Catholic is located on a 42-acre campus in the northwest corner of Grand Rapids, Michigan. The campus hosts updated athletic facilities and an on-site observatory, developed and designed by the 2012-2013 pre-engineering class. The school also opened a brand new Academic Learning Center in 2017. Scecina Memorial High School is a private, Catholic, college preparatory school located in Indianapolis, Indiana. With more than 15 honors and Advanced Placement courses, the school offers the "Project Lead the Way" program that teaches a biomedical science curriculum in physiology, genetics, microbiology, and public health. FACILITIES In recent years, the school has added or updated eight classrooms, a science lab, a guidance center, and a soundproof music room. There’s also a gymnasium with locker rooms, and improvements were recently made to the school’s technology infrastructure. The St. Mary’s Ryken High School has a Scholars Program that features curriculum from the nationally recognized “Project Lead the Way." As a part of the Scholars Program, students can seek accelerated concentrations in biomedical, aeropsace engineering, computer science, global and international studies, humanities, and performing and visual arts. The program includes specialty field trips, community mentors and possible internship opportunities. FACILITIES The 87-acre campus includes an athletic stadium with professional grade turf and track, as well as a brand new, state of the art, health and wellness building.
