Founded in 1956, Burlington Notre Dame High School is a private, Roman Catholic High School that educates US students as well as a small, select group of international students in Burlington, Iowa. The school is proud of their outstanding courses, extracurricular activities and small, intimate class sizes. Every year nearly 100% of Burlington Notre Dame High School graduates receive college acceptances to some of the best universities in the US.
Burlington Notre Dame High School’s campus is located five minutes from Burlington’s downtown area. The facilities include new lockers, sports facilities, and classrooms which have planned updates for the near future.
SPORTS AND ARTS
Everyone is encouraged to participate in athletic teams, sports, clubs and events. International students are welcome to take part in Basketball, Swimming, Tennis and more.
Burlington Notre Dame High School has a large selection of art and music choices that inspire students’ artistic expression and creativity. Some of the special programs offered are: Art Studio, Electric Blue Jazz Choir, and Concert/Marching Band.
Burlington has three large cities within a four hour drive. This gives international students a great chance to explore some of varying cityscapes in the US like Chicago, St.Louis, and Kansas City. Burlington is a friendly town with many historic and beautiful houses and introduces students to a true American midwest experience.

COMMUNITY INFORMATION Grand Rapids is a 40-minute drive from the beach and Lake Michigan, one of the largest freshwater bodies in the world. Surrounded by agricultural areas that allow blueberry picking and apple picking in the summer and fall, Grand Rapids also has a ski slope on the outskirts of the city, allowing for skiing and tubing in the winter, as well as 15 colleges and universities, making it possible for students to come here for high school and stay for university.
Scecina Memorial High School
SCHOOL PROFILE Scecina Memorial High School is a private Catholic, college preparatory school located in Indianapolis. Educating students in grades 9-11 through over 15 Honor and Advanced Placement courses, it also offers the Project Lead The Way program that teaches a biomedical science curriculum in physiology, genetics, microbiology and public health. The high school has a low ratio of international-to-U.S. students, so foreign kids can experience what’s it’s really like to be a teenager in America! FACILITIES In recent years, the school has added or updated eight classrooms, a science lab, a guidance center and a soundproof music room. There’s also a gymnasium and locker rooms, and improvements were recently made to the site’s technology infrastructure. SPORTS AND ARTS Students participate in competitive sports teams such as lacrosse, golf, gymnastics and bowling. Presented with a wide-variety of arts courses, extracurricular activities and clubs, students can express themselves creatively, or develop their passions and interests. COMMUNITY INFORMATION The school is situated in the friendly Irvington neighborhood, just minutes from downtown Indianapolis. The 13th largest city in the U.S., Indianapolis is the epicenter for activities such as museums, professional sporting events, entertainment and shopping. It’s also home of the world-famous Indianapolis (Indi) 500 automobile race.
St. Mary's Ryken High School
SCHOOL PROFILE St. Mary’s Ryken High School grants every student the opportunity to participate in their Scholars Program. This program features curriculum from the nationally recognized Project Lead the Way. In addition to offering STEM tracks in engineering, computer science, and biomedical, the Scholar Program also offers specialty tracks in global and international studies, humanities, performing and visual arts. The Scholars Program offers accelerated curriculum concentrations to students who seek a more advanced course of study. FACILITIES The 87-acre campus includes an athletic stadium with professional grade turf and track, as well as a brand new athletic building. St. Mary’s also has a 1:1 iPad Program where students and teachers do work through iPads daily. They are currently remodeling their science building which will include the opening of a STEM lab in 2018. They are I 100% wi-fi campus, with 3 computer labs. SPORTS AND ARTS St. Mary’s offers a total of 43 teams including 26 varsity programs and 17 different sports. Over 70% of students participate in at least one of the school’s athletic programs. SMR is a member of the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference, considered one of the most competitive conferences in the country. The arts program at St. Mary’s offers 25 courses ranging from ceramics and painting, to jazz band and technical theater. Each year, the school puts on two showcases. They also offer multiple levels of Dance. COMMUNITY INFORMATION Leonardtown is a historic town in southeast Maryland, founded in 1660. A coastal town, it is located immediately adjacent to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station, the home to the U.S. Naval Test Pilot School, and Naval Air Systems Command. International students can enjoy nautical scenery and activities in a quaint, colonial town.
