Founded in 1845, Lee Academy utilizes AP courses and an Academic Learning Lab to prepare students to succeed beyond high school. The school is located in the far northeastern corner of New England within driving distance to the expansive Acadia National Park and surrounded by Canada to the East, North, and West.
The campus' 12 buildings include athletic fields, a plant conservatory, a planetarium, an auditorium, two gymnasiums, and a music center.
SPORTS AND ARTS
Lee Academy has recently added golf, tennis, indoor track, wrestling, and bowling to its athletics program. Lee Academy has won state championships in basketball, baseball, softball, and cross country.
The schools extensive arts program offers students unique opportunities such as architectural drawing and concert band.
DORMITORIES AND STUDENT LIFE
All dormitories at Lee Academy are equipped with wireless internet, lounge rooms, with televisions, and laundry facilities. Students participate in year-round activities such as seasonal dances, musicals, and recreational athletics.

The school offers specialized programs such as the film making program taught by a director who formerly worked at Hollywood's MGM Studios. FACILITIES The rural 105-acre campus features an art gallery and a state-of-the-art Performing Arts Center where 80 school and local performances are held each year. FACILITIES Washington Academy's facilities include an industrial arts building, a gymnasium, several athletic fields and courts, a fine arts building, and a large music hall. The first academy building, built in 1823, houses classrooms and the health center.
