Maine School of Science and Mathematics is a unique STEM-track boarding school situated along the Canadian border in northern Maine. The school features a rigorous academic curriculum and a partnership with a local university that allows students to enroll in dual enrollment courses for college credit
In addition to Maine's vast expanse of northern New England countryside, Maine School of Science and Mathematics students have access to a Jr. Olympic swimming pool, five sports fields, multiple science labs, and an organic chemistry greenhouse.
SPORTS AND ARTS
The school offers several competitive and recreational sports such as cross country, soccer, and volleyball. The school's northeastern location provides a long ski season, making their Nordic skiing team particularly strong.
Students can learn about the wilderness that surrounds them in classes such as Acadian culture and history, or develop their fine and performing arts skills with courses like watercolor and theater.
AWARDS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Maine School of Science and Mathematics is ranked the 2nd best high school in the United States by US News and World Report. The school placed first place in the 2019 Maine State Science Bowl and the 2019 Maine State Math Meet. Two of Maine School of Science and Mathematics' Robotics teams qualified for the 2019 VEX Robotics World Championship.
DORMITORIES AND STUDENT LIFE
Boarding students live in a large five-wing dorm with several lounges, full kitchens, and a connected combination gym, game room, and music practice rooms. Students participate in various clubs and activities such as dances. Weekend trips and activities have included hiking, concerts, and dog sled races.

SCHOOL PROFILE Founded in 1823, Foxcroft Academy's college preparatory curriculum offers comprehensive visual, performing, and media arts courses along with technical education programs as well as a recently introduced STEM program. Foxcroft Academy also offers the prestigious International Baccalaureate Diploma Program, for the first time during the 2019-2020 year. FACILITIES Located on 125 acres in northern New England, the campus facilities include four modern residence halls, five athletic playing fields, four brand-new tennis courts, an outdoor basketball court, and a main academic complex. SPORTS AND ARTS Foxcrofts Academy's athletics program is exceptionally strong with more than 20 sports teams and 19 state championship titles. Maine Central Institute
SCHOOL PROFILE Maine Central Institute offers American and international students a rigorous academic environment surrounded by the best of New England town life. Maine Central Institute provides a comprehensive educational program and a newly founded aviation program. FACILITIES Maine Central Institute's campus includes a state-of-the-art Math and Science Center, two computer classrooms, a chemistry lab, a botany area, and recently renovated art facilities. Maine Central Institute's sports facilities include gymnasiums, weightlifting equipment, sports fields, a golf course, a track, and tennis court. SPORTS AND ARTS MCI's impressive athletic record includes three football state championships and two field hockey state championships. Three NBA All-Stars have graduated from MCI. Over 25% of students participate in drama or art competitions each year. The Bossov Ballet Theater at MCI is both a performing company and an internationally renowned pre-professional ballet school.
