Our Lady of Good Counsel High School
School DescriptionOur Lady of Good Counsel High School is a private secondary school in the Washington D.C. area. The top-ranked school enrolls a large student body in grades 9 to 12. It offers a college preparatory curriculum, the prestigious International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math), and fine arts.
The campus boasts a performing arts center, 52 acres of athletic fields, more than 10 science labs, a dance studio, two weight rooms, two gymnasiums, a football stadium with a turf field, and 50 classrooms with Apple TVs and Smartboards.
SPORTS AND ARTS
A superior athletic program has seen students go on to the Olympics, and is recognized for the performances by individual students in track and field, golf and baseball.

Our Lady of Good Counsel has twice received the US Blue Ribbon Educational Award from the US Department of Education. The school has a college acceptance rate of nearly 100 percent, and 30 percent of graduates are accepted to Ivy League schools.
Olney is located 45-minutes from Washington DC. In DC students can visit iconic US sites including The Smithsonian Institute’s National Air and Space, The Natural History Museum, the Lincoln Memorial, and The White House.

Our Lady of Good Counsel has revised their application requirements to: TOEFL scores are preferred. Successful students usually have around an 80. SSAT, HSPT or PSAT scores are helpful for admission but not required.

Other - Eligibility Requirements?SSAT is preferred in addition to the TOEFL (no minimum for SSAT at this moment). Math, English and IB placement tests are required. $5000 scholarship to to non-Chinese speaking students who do not need ELL and with a strong transcript. I-20s are provided after May 15th. If the English test is not ready, the school will interview the student. Our Lady can offer a conditional acceptance based on TOEFL to be submitted later. Spring year available to US transfer students.

Founded in 1744, West Nottingham Academy is the oldest boarding school in the United States.
