"International students who study at a US high school have an inside-track to attend a US University," according to Educatius Group's Academic Director Dr. Sharon Tan.
It's a great challenge for international students to leave their home and comfort zone. But living with an American host family will leave you with a lot of good memories. Today let me share with you my tips from living with host families for three years in American high schools!
The St. Mary’s Ryken High School Scholars Program features curriculum from the nationally recognized “Project Lead the Way”. The program includes STEM tracks in engineering, computer science, and biomedical. Also part of the Scholars Program, students can seek accelerated concentrations in biomedical, global and international studies, humanities, and performing and visual arts. FACILITIES The 87-acre campus includes an athletic stadium with professional grade turf and track, as well as a brand new health and wellness building. St. Mary’s also launched a 1:1 iPad Program. SPORTS AND ARTS St. Mary’s Ryken offers 26 varsity programs and 17 different sports. Over 70% of students participate in at least one of the school’s athletic programs. They are a member of the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference, considered one of the most competitive conferences in the country. Founded in 1744, West Nottingham Academy is the oldest boarding school in the United States. The school’s ideal location places students within driving distance to the Atlantic coast, New York City, and Washington, D.C. Students participate in experiential, project- based learning. FACILITIES West Nottingham’s facilities, located on 100 acres near the Atlantic Ocean, include a student center, a science center, sports fields, and an amphitheater. The school’s brand new Innovation Center features 3D printers, HP computers, podcasting equipment, virtual reality technology, and green screen technology.
