School DescriptionNorthfield Mount Hermon School is a one-of-a-kind boarding school that combines excellent academics with education for the head, heart, and land. With more than 30 AP courses and a wealth of extracurricular activities, there is plenty of opportunity for students to have a great education with a premier boarding school while enjoying the beautiful New England campus.
Students at Northfield Mount Hermon have access to a number of fantastic facilities, including a 34-acre farm, an observatory, and a high-level athletic complex which includes three turf fields and an all-weather outdoor track.
SPORTS AND ARTS
The school has a long history of athletic success, including a powerhouse cross country program, and has produced a number of Olympians, including Tessa Gobbo, who won an Olympic Gold Medal in Rowing at the 2016 Olympics.
Northfield Mount Hermon’s 65,000 square-foot Rhodes Art Center is home to all of the school’s performing arts. Students also have the option to enroll in a number of fine arts classes, including three AP studio art classes.

DORMITORIES AND STUDENT LIFE
With dormitories that range from 14 to 150 students, Northfield Mount Hermon has something for every student. Each dormitory has a faculty "dorm parent" around to support students outside of class. On the weekends, there is plenty to do. The Student Activities Office plans a number of on-campus and off-campus events, including trips to local malls, the movies, and even other boarding schools for dances.
