School Description

Mercyhurst Preparatory School (MPS) is a Catholic college prep school for grades 9-12 on a beautiful campus. Students at Mercyhurst Prep can choose one of three tracks: College Preparatory Program, Honors Program or the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IB). All students also have the opportunity to participate in athletic, co-curricular activities and/or social events. Honors or IB students can dual enroll at Mercyhurst University located adjacent to MPS. Additional ESL classes and tutors are available for students who are seeking additional assistance in the program.

The facilities include a new auditorium/theater, a DREAM Lab (design, research, arts, engineering, and math), a newly transformed Library/Research Center, and a dining hall with food prepared by dietary professionals.

Mercyhurst Preparatory School has won eight State Championships and each year dozens of MPS student athletes go on to compete at the collegiate level. MPS also takes the time to nurture each student’s appreciation for arts with the award winning theater, music and almost 50 art courses.

The school has twice been awarded the National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence by the United States Department of Education.

International students live in the dormitory situated on the spectacular 65 acre campus. The dorm offers a student lounge, study rooms, music room, gym, basketball courts and dining hall. The secure and safe campus is conveniently located near three major US cities.
