Located in central Utah, South Sanpete School District’s Gunnison Valley High School offers small class sizes for more individualized instruction and attention. Technology has recently been a focus at Gunnison Valley High and every high schooler receives an iPad to use throughout the term.
The facilities at Gunnison Valley High School include state-of-the-art classrooms, athletic amenities (a football field, soccer fields, a track, and a gymnasium), and a working bell tower.
SPORTS AND ARTS
International students are encouraged to take part in Gunnison’s strong athletic program. The boys baseball and girls softball teams both had winning records in previous years.
The arts program at Gunnison is a great place for students to improve their skills in music, performance, or art. Students can join courses and clubs that will focus on their interests in computer-aided design, orchestra, and more.
South Sanpete is located in a region of Utah that is known for its breathtaking views and natural landmarks. International high school students will be able to spend their free time exploring many outdoor activities like fishing, camping, rock climbing, and mountain biking.

SCHOOL PROFILE Orono High School is an elite public school located in Central Maine. The school offers all graduates the unique opportunity of automatic conditional acceptance to the neighboring University of Maine. Named a 2017-2019 top 10 school in Maine, Orono High School offers college preparatory, AP, and intensive ESL courses. Students are also able to take dual enrollment courses with the University of Maine. FACILITIES Orono High School is located next to the University of Maine and shares its facilities. The campus features new state-of-the-art media and fitness centers, a planetarium, collegiate athletic fields, science labs, the largest library in the state, and a 3D printing lab. Students can take dual enrollment courses at the university. Classrooms are equipped with projectors and Smartboards. Orono High School also has a fully certified ropes course located on 30 acres of land with an outdoor education curriculum. SPORTS AND ARTS Over the past few years, Orono athletes have won state championships in many sports, including Baseball, Nordic Skiing, Cross Country, Soccer, and Ice Hockey. Orono High School features a specific period during the day in which all students participate in art, music, and/or drama classes. Students can choose from unique courses such as ukulele and songwriting. In 2017-2019, Orono High School Show Choir won the State Championship. AWARDS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS Orono High School is listed in US News and World Report’s top 5% of high schools, and the US Niche report named the school as one of the top 10 in Maine and awarded the school an “A” rating. COMMUNITY INFORMATION Orono is located two hours from historic Portland, Maine and three hours from Boston. It is set in the pristine region of northeast New England, and students here have close access to both mountains and the ocean. Students can enjoy outdoor activities year-round such as hiking, sailing, canoeing, fishing, skiing, snowboarding, and snowmobiling. Orono is only 10 minutes northeast of the metropolitan city of Bangor, which offers shopping, dining, and an international airport (BGR). Arlington Public High School
SCHOOL PROFILE Located less than half an hour from Boston, Arlington High School offers a rigorous academic curriculum including an internship program and more than 15 AP courses. Boston’s public transit system stops by the high school allowing easy access into the city. The school’s outstanding STEM program has a unique video game and web development program. FACILITIES Campus facilities include various outdoor sports fields, a media center, and a historical Colonial-style building in the center of campus. Students have the opportunity to participate in the school’s news station at the local access television studios located across the street from the high school. SPORTS AND ARTS Arlington High School’s 30 boys and girls teams consistently win state championships in sports such as ice hockey, lacrosse, cross country, and soccer. Unique arts opportunities at Arlington include songwriting and film scoring as well as a student-run school newspaper a student-produced public news station. The theater program also puts on at least two large productions each year. AWARDS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS Arlington High School has been awarded multiple Gold Medals by U.S. News and World Report. The publication also ranks the school as the 9th best public school in the state. Arlington High School was also awarded the Massachusetts Green Ribbon School District, an award for Environmentally Aware and Civic Minded Schools. COMMUNITY INFORMATION Arlington is a suburban town just minutes from downtown Boston. The historical town offers year-round cultural activities such as museums and festivals. Provo City School District
DISTRICT PROFILE Provo City School District is located in the western U.S. state of Utah. The district offers international high school students the chance to enroll in one of two coeducational four year high schools. FACILITIES The school campuses include science labs, media centers, sports fields, and more. One of the high schools is located directly across the street from Brigham Young University. SPORTS AND ARTS Both schools offer championship sports programs with students competing in football, track and field, and more. The schools’ extensive arts programs give students the opportunity to develop unique skills such as ballroom dancing, a program in which students in the district have won 9 state titles. AWARDS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS The district’s schools have received awards for America’s Best High Schools, 11 of its students were National Merit Semifinalists, and the students took first place in the Skills USA Competition in Mathematics. One was also named “America’s Most Challenging School” by the Washington Post. COMMUNITY INFORMATION A friendly and welcoming town, Provo is the third biggest city in the state of Utah. Provo is home to Brigham Young University and is also located on Utah Lake.
