Established in 1959, Lourdes Academy is the oldest high school in the town of Oshkosh. Located one hour south from the city of Green Bay (home to the popular NFL football
team, the Packers), it’s a private Roman Catholic day high school for boys and girls.
Completed in 2005, the Bill Behring Commons serves as a cafeteria, an auditorium and a performing arts center. It connects with the student union, as well as the new gymnasium and band classroom. Students also have access to off-site sports fields and facilities at nearby Titan Stadium.
SPORTS AND ARTS
International students can join any of the junior varsity sports teams (cross country, football, soccer, hockey, basketball, etc).
Lourdes Academy finds countless ways to include the fine arts into student life at the school. Students are invited to join performances as musicians, singers, dancers and actors.
The City of Oshkosh is a lovely small city that has several listings on the National Register of Historic Places. Famous for making the iconic OshKosh B’Gosh overalls, the town lies along the Fox River—about one and a half hours north of Milwaukee and one hour south of Green Bay. Skutt Catholic High School
Founded in 1993, Skutt Catholic High School is a college preparatory high school. The school emphasizes academic excellence. Over the past decade, 100 students were national recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Program and five students have achieved perfect scores on the college entrance exams too. FACILITIES With modern facilities, the school offers six computer labs and smartboard classrooms. Skutt Catholic has also recently added a new artificial turf football and soccer field. SPORTS AND ARTS International students, looking to participate in high school athletics, can join 12 varsity sports teams. Skutt Catholic has also won 68 state championships in the past decade of competition. Students not interested in athletics can participate in an award-winning music, drama, and fine arts program. The school was awarded a silver medal in the National Scholastic Arts Awards Competition held at Carnegie Hall, in New York City. SCHOOL PROFILE Rockford Christian High School is a private, non-denominational Christian day school that welcomes a select group of international students to board on campus every year. The school offers a wide variety of classes including 22 Advanced Placement courses, CAD Programming, graphic design, robotics, and a comprehensive STEAM curriculum. FACILITIES The campus covers 35 acres and features facilities such as advanced technology classrooms, computer labs, science labs, and a stadium. There is also an advanced art laboratory for graphic design and LEED-certified Science and Technology Center. SPORTS AND ARTS Students are always encouraged to participate in sports teams and clubs like swimming, soccer, and even bass fishing. Rockford Christian High School’s fine arts faculty is comprised of professional artists and musicians that help students put on programs and concerts throughout the year. There is even an annual trip where students go on a week-long tour to perform at destinations such as Nashville and Disney World. DORMITORIES AND STUDENT LIFE The residence halls at Rockford Christian High School provide students with independence in a safe, supervised environment. Outside of the classroom, students have the opportunity to go on weekend trips to engage in activities such as dining, shopping, sporting events, and movie theaters.
