Used as the set location for many films and TV shows, Torrance High School is the oldest high school in California—and the most recognizable in the country. International
students get an authentic American high school experience, while gaining academic achievement through more than 15 Advanced Placement courses.

FACILITIES
The nine-acre campus has over 100 classrooms, a library, two gyms, five computer labs, and athletic fields. It recently had extensive renovations in preparation for the school’s
100th anniversary in 2017. It is listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

SPORTS AND ARTS
Sports teams have earned numerous titles in baseball, football, golf, softball, tennis and volleyball, with several alumni going on to become professional athletes.
For students with musical aspirations, they can join drumline, wind ensemble and photography class—all part of the arts curriculum. They can also pursue their interests in
more than 50 extracurricular clubs and activities.

Torrance High School was named A California Distinguished School by the U.S. Department of Education.
