NOTE: Host families for students studying at this school are recruited by the school.
Colorado Springs School, founded in 1962, is a private, college preparatory day school. Students learn through traditional and experiential methods based in “real world” experiences inside and outside of the classroom. Small class sizes help students build supportive relationships for intellectual growth.
The historic 28-acre campus is located on a former estate built in 1907, at the foot of the Rocky Mountains. The main building, The Trianon (used for class and administration) is
listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The school’s facilities include a theater, gallery, performing arts center, gymnasium, and a newly developed innovation lab.
SPORTS AND ARTS
Some of the competitive athletic teams offered at Colorado Springs include soccer, basketball, volleyball, cross-country, tennis, lacrosse, golf, and mountain biking.
For those with more creative interests, three plays/musicals are performed each year in the on-campus performing arts center along with many arts courses.
